I know that not very many people read this thing but I always write it with the hope that an errant traveler might trip on the stones or the snow and find this blog.
Craig Fergusen is the best thing to happen to late night. In fact, he's hazardous to my health because I stay up and watch him when I should be trying to sleep and grind my mouth guard to oblivion. He's so freaking funny. He's also so freaking brilliant.
If you haven't read "Between the Bridge and the River" you are missing the best thing since my beloved Kurt Vonnegut left this plane. Then you watch his show and it's like...what if Kurt Vonnegut had been young enough to do a really funny late night talk show and you have it.

I thank him. I know he'll never see this but who cares. I just watched my candidate lose the primary because he didn't have enough money to compete. Even sold his house and still not enough.
So, I need a little Craig. Even though in my mind, tonight, it's not a great day for America, he will convince me that it is still a great day.
No, I'm not paid by CBS. And now that I look back at this missive, if I give you one gift it's that book. Read "Between the Bridge and the River." It will joyously change your life for the better.
